I can haz sponsor?

I’m sponsoring a cat. This is Liberty my sickly, antisocial kitty.

I’m sure my budgies prefer this kind of kitty. One that’s in another country.

She’s a very pretty kitty. I read the home page and think that Lynea Lattanzio must be an awesome person. Thank you for sponsering Liberty and thank you for showing us this place.

From the pics, it looks wonderful, and the people sound like they are awesome. If I’m ever close to there (doubtful, I hate California with a passion), I’ll be sure to show up with kitty food and treats in hand

She’s adorable!

Not having any experience with shelters, if I, say, came in with a donation would they accept that as a bribe to let me see cute kitties I can’t adopt? I dunno how it works, and I wouldn’t want to show up and have them be like, ‘uh, no, thanks for the donation, but you can only go back there if you’re a volunteer or adopting an animal’.

You could say “I’m here to volunteer. I volunteer to pet the kitties.”

Loves FloatyGimpy’s answer. I can’t speak for other groups, but the one I’m active with loves it when people volunteer to pet kitties or walk dogs. Socialization is very important and the core group of volunteers are usually too busy cleaning/feeding to spend much quality time with the animals they love.

When I was in college, my co-ed service fraternity did a service project at the humane society. All we did was play with cats or walk dogs for a few hours (whichever you wanted to do, I petted cats since I’m a cat person). It was great! I imagine most places would love to have the help.

I wonder if you came in with some cat toys if they would be okay with you playing with those, too? I should do that sometime, I miss having kitties.
