Well, I’m in the money now on tonight’s NLHE tourney. My account balance still says zero even though I cashed the stud tourney - I’m hoping this is because it either takes some time to show up or because it’s rounding $0.40 down. We can rule out the latter when I bust out of this.
Well, I’m done for tonight. Out 94th for $1, and the $0.40 from the stud tourney is in fact showing in my account, so all is well. I do have AIM, I’ll PM you my screen name. I don’t know the name of the private table, though. A quick check for “SDMB” or “(The) Straight Dope” turned up nothing obvious.
Go to the private tab, then just search for SDMB. It should show up. Password is rudengrim.
Not using the Crazy Poker interface, though I don’t think that it was a problem using the Gaming Room interface. They both are part of the Microgaming network, and I think you can see our game from any Microgaming site. There are several.
While direct transfers are not available, having two players sit at an empty table and dumping chips is a slow but effective way to transfer small amounts between players. That sort of behavior tends to attract a third player fairly quickly though.

Finished 64th/5563 for $1 on the Freeroll…until some joker named Ifeeltherush (from Las Vegas of all places) called my preflop raise (I had AKo) with his 34o…flop came Q57 rainbow, so I went all-in and he calls…(pot was about 100K, blinds were 2K/4K)…dude rivered a 6 for a straight. Stupidz kat.
There is an AIM update available - do it early if you are going to do it by game time.

I have avenged my first defeat in the SDMB weekly with a victory in my first sit-n-go! $0.25 profit on the day! I’m pretty sure all of you railing were there for the end, and at least I didn’t have to knock any of you out myself to get there :).
Also, that $2.50 I made in the freeroll on Stars that I kept talking about - I took it to the NL2 tables and tripled it. A good day in pokerland.
What a way to start the quarter.
Oslo sure deserved the win. I had him beat back to $11K+ vs $170 and just couldn’t finish him. That’s awesome on his part, sad on my part.
AI is a welcome addition, really enjoyed watching him play later.
He does watch me on occasion…he (my middle son ) just turned 11 last August and is somewhat of a visual math wiz (takes after me)…and pretty much parrots what I do on internet poker. He likes to play poker at home when my parents come over and we do a mock tournament for his sake. So, I’m gonna have to teach him not to get in over his head when it comes to real action when he’s an adult. He also loves to golf and wants to be on the golf team at his middle school this coming spring…this boy is gonna be time-consuming for the next 7 years.
As for baseball…here in SoCal (high desert area), the weather actually permits a short “Fall Ball” season…late September to mid November. Most games are on Saturdays, but a few are also on Mondays and Thursday afternoons/evenings (under the lights). Since my son just turned 11, he got bumped up from Minors to Majors this season, so he’s low man on the totem pole again, facing 12 and some young 13s, some who can pitch 60-65mph. I just volunteer to be an assistant coach, because I really don’t want the politics that some parents do at this level, but I do love to help the kids learn and to be a motivator for the team. I also help coach my youngest son’s T-Ball team as well, and they practice at 6pm on Thursdays, but usually I can sign up and get to our SDMB game by 7pm or shortly thereafter. As the sunsets get earlier, I’m sure that will be bumped up pretty soon as well, since the little T-Ballers don’t get any lights for any games or practices. My little guy is turning 6 this month and he is already time consuming with his development issues, and T-Ball is a great way to address the physical/concentration issues that he needs to develop.
The next Thursday game for my middle son will be November 8th, so I should (barring any unforeseen issues) make it to a month’s worth of hot poker action starting next week. I figured that you should all get a head start before I come down and lower the forearm shiver to each and every one of your grills.
What was AI’s comment? That I was ninja of shortstacking? A label I will proudly carry.

SO WTF is a raked hand?
I went to look at the tourneys on Crazy, they’ve changed them up again and have very few $1 Freezeouts. So I look and the $500 freeroll that usually has 6K players is only at 480 with 5 minutes to join. I tried to join and it says I didn’t have any raked hands, needed one raked hand to play.
So I figured I needed to play some ring games to get some raked hands. I win 5* playing .05/.10 and still don’t have any raked hands.
*Heh, Mr. Tilt goes all in with 3 spades on the flop, I have As and something else. Qs on the turn, Mr. Tilt went all in with a set and got Duck Sucked, the guy between me and Mr. Tilt is also all in. They both have me out chipped, but I triple up and get out of there
After all of that, no raked hands to my credit, I’m just too stupid to play this shit.
