I can't believe it still works.

Last summer my son drove off with our cordless phone on the hood of his car and it hadn’t been seen since. Well yesterday my hubby ran over it in the yard while mowing grass. I brought it in, cleaned it up a bit and put it back on the base to see if it would work.

This morning after charging, it is working just fine except the LED display is a little fuzzy.

What is your best “I can’t believe it still works” story?

When I was moving from Maine to Georgia, I had the towed U-Haul picking up some stuff my the now ex-wife’s place in MA. I put my DayTimer on the back bumper of the Bronco towing the trailer, and drove happily away. A few days later I get a formal message from the Mass. State Patrol. Sheesh! I though my now ex-wife had gotten into an accident, been killed, whatever runs though your head at those moments. Seems they had found my DayTimer in the road, had been run over NUMEROUS times, and I eventually got it back.

Not quite the same.

I had a pair of glasses I ran over with my motorcycle once when I was a teenager. I wore them for a year or two afterwards, still.
