Here in Michgan, the speedway on the interstates and major highways is 70 miles per hour. On I-75 there are 3 lanes most of the way, usually people in the rightmost lane travel along from 60-70mph, the middle lane 70-78, and the left lane 78-85. I’m usually in the left lane.
So, tell me dopers, is the traffic pattern like this in your state, and which lane are you usually in?
Hmm… I drive on I-75 every once in awhile, most frequently between I-69 and US-10. I usually find that the right lane is 55-85, middle lane 65-75, and left lane 70-85. I’ve noticed many people have a tendency to stick to the middle lane and not get over, regardless of the fact that everyone else is going faster than they are. This leads to the right lane sometimes being faster than the middle, with the exception of large trucks and really slow drivers…
I hate passing on the right, but it bothers me more when people don’t move over when they have room.
Thus endeth the mini rant.
