I caught a 9 pound bass!!

Not really. But it makes a good story.

Woohoo, I spent 20 hours outside this weekend, reeling in bass.
I’m a brown berry with fishin’ fever. Talk about a cheap way to spend your weekend. After my initial purchase of the rod/reel and some basic lures, it’s a pretty reasonable way to spend your free time.

We caught blue gill, crappie, catfish, but mostly bass. My girlfriend caught a 2 - 2 1/2 lb bass which she reported to her father as “a nine pound bass!” (hence the subject…)

So what’s your fishing story? Got any tips on what you like to fish for? How do you like it cooked?

Tibs.

I fished out of my canoe for 7 hours this weekend, and the only thing I have to show for it is a sunburn.

Skunked again :frowning:

What were you fishing for - and what did you use?

Were you on a river? lake?

Tibs.

Bass fisherman? Having recently read Carl Hiaasen’s Double Whammy, I have to ask you - do all bass fishermen act that way?

What is the best way to catch a fish?

Have it thrown to you!

That’s all - fish on.

Act what way, Arnold?
