Boraxo, a powdered soap made mostly of borax. It has a pleasantly rough texture to eliminate any grime or grunge that may be on your hands, though it is really quite gentle on mine.
Most other soaps will leave me feeling sticky after using them, I don’t know why. soft water, hard water, water in between. It usually makes no difference, I’ll be at least a little sticky after.
However, with Boraxo, I’m nice and soft immediately after, without any residue or slimy film.
Yes, yes, I know I sound like some marketing whore, but I promise I’m not. I just really enjoy using this nead soap, and felt the need to share this truly pointless and mundane fact with you all.
It also dissolves nicely in hot water for scrub brush cleaning of skanky surfaces. I used it a week or two ago to scrub the inside floor mat of my van. Good stuff.
Me too, Death Valley Days with Dale Robertson as the host I remember, although I see Robert Taylor, Ronald Reagan and Stanley Andrews preceeded him. I think I’ll always have fond feelings for Boraxo because of that, even though it’s been near 40 years now since we tuned in regular.
Wow, I figured i’d be alone in this, but I guess I should have figured with something thats been around that long, there’s probably a bunch of people who really like it.
Are we talking about hand soap or laundry powder? Cause if it’s the laundry, I’m wild about it. Gets white socks as clean as you’re going to get with a passel of children who can’t be broken of going around outside in their socks, and it generally brightens everything up.
