Alrighty, I know I’m new and nobody knows me and bla bla bla… but I’m going out on a limb here and starting my first thread (Yay me!).
I love soap. Like, absolutely LOVE soap. I use a soap from a company based out of England called “Lush” (www.lushcanada.com). Hand made, natural ingredients (such as apple juice, etc.)… well, I guess all I’m wondering is what kind of soap everybody else uses. Hey, it could be interesting… you never know… or it could just suck. =)
Irish Spring Sport is the bomb. you get clean and you smell good… what more can a guy want in a soap?
on the girly front, body shop (body works? i don’t know the difference) has a soap called Satsuma that drives me totally nuts. i used to go into the bathroom just to smell it in the air after one of my housemates who used Satsuma got out of the shower. they finally bought me a couple bars but i can’t bring myself to open them. i just keep em in strategic locations around my place for when i need a sniff to brighten my day.
Ivory tastes good to me. i don’t know why it does, but whenever i happen to be showering with it (it’s my backup for when i’m in a hick town that doesn’t have a store that carries Irish Spring Sport), i always get a little in my mouth “on accident.”
Our water here is heavily laden with minerals, so I like Tone. It doesn’t seem to dry me out quite as badly, although I have to get it rinsed off pretty quickly, or it feels like it’s left a film on my skin.
Ever since it was recommended for the antibacterial properties of Triclosan for cleaning new body piercings, I have used, and absolutely LOVED the smell of Liquid Dial. I buy the big gallon bottle at Costco and refill all the small dispensers in our home.
Yay, I always love it when posters cross new frontiers of the mundane and pointless. Larmal, m’dear, you are Lewis, Clark, and Sacajawea rolled into one! Welcome to our world.
I like Lush too, except I can’t smell anything else for an hour after going in there. Dove wins on the creamy moisturising factor and means I can still smell.
I love their Cedar Soap from Scotland. It’s a very soft scent. On my last visit to the city, they told me they weren’t going to carry it anymore so I bought the last eight bars they had.
Once that’s gone, I guess I’ll go back to Calgon’s, In The Rain Body Gel.
