A friend of mine used to do this all the time. It would drive me crazy. It didn’t matter what kind of music – pop, rock, country, band, classical, whatever.
We’re both school band directors now. He may still do it, but I don’t hang with him as much since college.
I do that too, but only to Mozart’s “Requiem” for some reason.
I love conducting the orchestral parts of Klaatu’s “Hope” album. My wife and I were listening to it while on a short road trip last night, and she said this morning that her favorite part of the trip was watching me conduct.
Mmmmmmkay, so now I’m gonna have to look for a used version of that on Amazon!
