In one of those LG (“Life is Good”) washer-dryer commercials, a sexy woman in a clingy dress is jostled by the big city’s indignities, dashes home and pops the dress into a steamer-dryer. The background music sounds like horn-heavy Italian jazz. Can anybody identify the music?
Erg. Lot of hoopla being made over this one on the Adtunes forums. Everyone thinks it’s **Jens Lekman’s ** A Sweet Summer’s Night on Hammer Hill, still others think it’s a more upbeat Heatwave remix (originally by Martha and the Vandellas), but, it seems, that while Jens was approached, he didn’t want to have his song associated with washing machines (or steam machines, or otherwise), and so he wrote a new, similar jingle… that LG rejected.
It was ultimately an exclusive composition done by Paul Brill, and the song is unavailable for purchase, and was made only for the commercial.
Which sucks, because it friggin’ kills, if I may borrow a phrase from the above-mentioned forums.
It is a great tune. I was hoping it was off of some Fellini film or something.
