I was once a ketchup lover. The Straight Dope changed all that. I now see ketcup for what it really is–no, I don’t. I don’t really know what’s in ketchup, and I don’t think I want to.
But anyway, I read an article in the paper today about that freaky green ketchup. All I could think was “Gee, I wonder if green is a food group. If it is, and I can get my kid to eat it, she’ll have a well-balanced diet, color-wise.”
Actually I think we should all be judging our diet based on colour balance rather than anything as silly as a nutritional basis. Having our food reflect our moods makes much more sense.
Of course going through a surrealist phase might be tough on the stomach…
And what’s wrong with BBQ sauce on hot dogs?
or honey barbeque sauce … ?
