I didn't get what I paid for! Or, that was *not* a burrito! (lame rant)

Glad to be of service. How come you’re up so early?? Being up at 5.20 is worthy of a pit thread of its own!

Man, the only thing worse than anticipating a burrito, paying for it, and getting crap, is seeing the word “Burrito” appear every time you open the BBQ Pit, and developing cravings for that irresistable delicacy that at first are possible to ignore, but after a day of having the word SCREAM at you all the time cause you to obsess at the very thought …

I’m outta here. There’s got to be a Taco Bell around somewhere …

I ordered sweet and sour chicken from a mall chinese food place.

I got a paperplate with microwaved Chicken Nuggets (like straight from mcdonalds) and a few stipes of red sweet and sour sauce from a sqeeze bottle.

nasty.

Try eating turkey dogs on whole wheat (worse: Roman Meal) buns while Chano’s is lurking meanacingly near by. We get the seriously authentic stuff here in downtown L.A. Chano’s even serves menudo once a week (okay, ew.)

Menudo I haven’t heard of… dare I ask?

No.

Good lord, no.

Ok, the boy band scared me more than the tripe soup.

Menudo the food sounds better than chitlin’s at least

I’m sure if I were to be in Mexico on New Year’s Day I’d go a bowl of Menudo… just to make the cultural experience complete, you understand

I’m sure the burritos would be a damn sight better there, too.

I stand corrected, looks like the burrito was the highlight of your day.

Wha… ? Adjusted for population size, there’s a greater level of Chinese and South-east Asian immigration to Australia than to the US. There’s a Chinese restaurant or two in every neighourhood, but you can’t find a decent takeaway place? Where are you living?

I agree with you on the Mexican food though.

I’m in Brisbane’s inner west, Jervoise. We have reasonable Thai, but for good Chinese I have to go into Fortitude Valley, which is a little far for takeaway… but the best chinese takeaway I ever ate was in a little town in western NSW, in a cafe called Mama Vittoria’s. I have no idea why it was called that (I think it was a hangover from the previous owner).

Moving to Victoria soon, though. I heard that the food there was much better
