I don't bruise - is this a problem?

Interesting. I have never had a problem with anemia; my hemoglobin is always dead-on normal. I don’t go out of my way to eat iron foods, but I guess I’m doing something right. I heal quickly and easily, too. I don’t think I’ve ever had an infected cut.

I suppose it’s just the way human bodies are; my joints are worse than average, and my capillaries are better.

Thick blood = No Bruising?
I too, do not bruise

When I donate blood, it is as thick as cold chocolate syrup, I have to take 2 aspirin and drink a 1/2 gal extra water before donating to get any out. No health issues.

I have not tried whacking myself after I have taken aspirin. Any non-bruising volunteers?

High Iron?
I started donating blood to lower my Iron. When I first started donating, 10 years ago now, my blood was much more dense ( the test drop in copper sulfate solution sunk like a BB. now it just drifts down.)
No change in bruising from then to now.

I have had many major impacts over my life with nary a mark.
One of the worse was when I fell 8 feet on/with a stairway made of 2x6s that broke loose at the top mount.
I landed with my feet through the stairs and on the stairs, broke the 2x6 on edge over my feet. Squashed the metatarsal structure of both feet, hurt everywhere, no marks.
MacGyver

I don’t bruise either. Thought for sure when I hit the side of that car and my leg got caught between by motorcycle and the car door that that would leave a bruise. Hurt like hell, but no bruise. Limped for a few days too.

Really sprained my ankle playing ball two years ago and no discoloring then either.

Broken rib? No bruise.

Jam the shit out of one of my fingers? No bruising, very little swelling as a matter of fact.

Even if I crack the back of my hand on the corner of a table or something I don’t even get the slightest bruise. Same thing if I hit my finger with a hammer, no black nail. All this stuff hurts like a mother, but there is no bruising. I don’t ever remember getting a bruise as far back as I can remember.

I prefer to think of her as “Pain-Killer Jane”, but with a better plotline.

Oddly enough, that’s precisely what I was thinking.

I don’t bruise and my blood flows like water when I’m donating. I’m usually done in under five minutes. Seven minutes is considered pretty fast.
