I don’t understand the desire to drink flavored coffee, isn’t it already coffee flavored?
The little pod machine doesn’t sound that much easier than my espresso machine, but making a coffee doesn’t really feel like a chore to me-tamp down the grounds, allow the water to move through it while I steam a little milk, enjoy.
Morning coffee is such a lovely part of the day, it’s worth taking the time to make it a good one.
I tend to make a pot of coffee every day when I get home from work. I drink two cups, kaylasmom drinks either one cup or two, then I go to bed. When I get up in the afternoon, I fill a tumbler with ice, then pour the rest over that. Mmmmm, iced coffee…
Sampiro, what does hating to do dishes have to do with having a coffeepot? IME, it’s SUPPOSED to get a little plating of coffee on the inside. Same with the mug (easiest way to piss off a CPO on a nuclear submarine is to wash out his favorite coffee cup).
ETA, 'course, part of that is because you pretty much have to break his index finger to get it away from him…
I do use an electric kettle. But sometimes, in a communal office situation, the only thing available is the Keurig, so I use that on occasion. I bring my teaball and loose-leaf along with me if I know I’m going to be having tea. (I suppose I could bring an electric kettle too! But that would be a bit of a chore to lug around.)
The water temperature is, as you suggest, probably not ideal.
