Regular, every-day everyman Pacino is boring.
Where have you seen “every-day everyman” Pacino lately? Since at least the mid-90s he’s got exactly 2 moves: whispering or yelling.
I dont like the Bruce Jennered Al Pacino. He should have kept his original face and his original voice.

Just not the one from “Revolution”. Next to “The Legend of Walks Far Woman” that is the worse movie I deny being an extra in.
I’m unsure where you are coming from. I usually see people break Pacino down along the lines of “classic” ( mostly more varied performances in the 1970’s - Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Godfather I and II, And Justice for All ) vs. “histrionic” ( perhaps starting with Scarface and accelerating with Scent of a Woman into occasional borderline self-parody ). He’s done fine work post-SoaW ( i.e. his small roll in Glengarry Glen Ross, Donnie Brasco ), but some have accused him of becoming lazy and overly broad in his acting approach since the 1990’s.
Where exactly are you breaking out his everyman roles?

Actually “And Justice for All” is the demarcation between classic and over-the-top.
My favorite Al Pacino movie (and one of my favorite movies generally) is Author! Author!, in which he plays a relatively normal guy. Of course, it’s not exactly the movie people think of when you mention Al Pacino.
He was a pretty regular guy in Looking for Richard.
