I don't need a Kitchenaid stand mixer

For that I’ll need a special pan, yes?

That’s right. I mean, no, you don’t need this at all.

There’s no good pasta attachment? I noticed on the KA website that there appears to be several different attachments. I really want to make pasta with mine :frowning:

So there I was, minding my own business in the bakery aisle, looking at round cake pans and springform pans suitable for cheesecake, when suddenly and without warning a bag of butterscotch chips ASSAULTED me, battered me about, and leapt into my shopping basket.

What could I do?

I’ve had no problems with mine.

Not make cookies?

My condolences for your traumatic experience. I’ll bet you would feel better if you exacted a horrific revenge on said chips, say, mixed them in with some sort of , I don’t know, dough, and cruelly thrust them into a blazing oven.

I can PM you my mailing address.

I just might have to do that! That’d show 'em!

I’d send out cookies but I have no idea how to mail such a thing without breakage and cookie catastrophe. Suggestions?

Since Pioneer Woman is giving one away today, you definitely don’t want to go over there and enter her contest and tell her how you want to have a KitchenAid mixer’s babies.

Because she’d probably believe you, and you’d win, and there you’d be.

My mom had one of those things when I was a kid. It made her life hell.

It would make something in the kitchen and leave it a mess, or force her to make all kinds of food for it’s evil pleasure. It dominated all her time. She’d be up early in the morning making stuff for it in the kitchen, and slave over it for dinner. Then it wouldn’t even like the food! It used to come home drunk from the bar and beat her… Oh wait. I’m thinking of my father.

Yeah, my mom just made cookies and cakes and stuff. They were actually pretty delicious.

You’d better hope Santa isn’t British. He might mistake your dry humour for not actually wanting one.

**All of the good ones are taken. **

pepperlandgirl, I recommend using the KA for French Silk Pie, as each egg has to beaten as added and that’s a good reason to not do this by hand. The taste is sinful! This one is pretty close, except Mom beats each egg for five minutes not two:

She always just used eggs but I guess pasteurized would be erring on the safe side.

I told my wife she didn’t need one, and I told my mom my wife didn’t need it, but it showed up anyway. Gray krinkle finish. I made a space for it on the counter and scowled at it for a few minutes, until I noticed the front cover came off and there were gears inside. Kinda like a power tool I thought to myself…

In about 30 years you’ll be tinkering with the insides of it to keep it running, like my father did for my mom’s avocado one for years.

Well, damn it all anyway, I got my KitchenAid stand mixer delivered today, and I was juuuust opening up the box to look at it — I wasn’t going to make anything — and wouldn’t you know, the ingredients for butterscotch oatmeal cookies just fell right in. It’s like some kind of curse.

Well, they haven’t fallen in yet. The butter isn’t soft enough. But they’re teetering precariously on the edge of the mixing bowl and they’re bound to fall in soon. You know how butter is.

You mean like [URL=“http://flameka.com/default.aspx”]these](http://www.cuisinart.com/catalog/product.php?product_id=465&item_id=575&cat_id=344)?

No I wouldn’t want these for my Empire Red KA5 …nosiree, not in the slightest

I wasn’t thrilled to get my husband’s Grandmothers KA many years ago even though it still would work perfectly if I used it all the time. Which I don’t. Because I have better things to do than bake goodie’s.

Mmmm, still warm.

Good thing you didn’t make them.

And if I did make them, I sure didn’t eat [del]any[/del] all of them!

Ah, denial’s a wonderful thing, isn’t it?
