I don't think I can say this in the Elections forum

He has not.

Most conservatives I know despise Trump, but they have gotten so sick of the liberals defining them as racists, misogynists and every other thing you can think of because they have different solutions to the same problems. The vote was no so much for Trump and not even so much against Hillary, it was against a repressive wave we have been feeling from liberals.

Gosh, you make them sound like such delicate flowers, crying about having their feelings hurt.

Waaaah, reported. Senile whiny bitch.

God I love these threads.

So you’ve allied yourselves with the worst of racists, xenophobes, misogynists & homophobes. Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas.

Too bad we’ve heard so little about your “different solutions.” Instead, we’ve seen obdurate congressmen refusing to work with a Black President. Why didn’t the Senate have a hearing on his Supreme Court nominee, so your guys could explain his shortcomings? Nope, you just ignored him.

You’ve been “feeling” a “repressive wave”? Take a Midoll.

Hey, wait a sec, I say let the conservatives cry, so we can drink their tears. What’s the opposite of a Midoll? Let them take that. I dunno, lots of salty foods so they can retain more water so they can cry more tears about how oppressed and offended they are…
I’m not really an expert in such things.

They chose to vote instead

I’m surprised they could find the levers, blinded by all those tears of hurt feelings and such.

…you are freaking amazing. This is so amazingly awesome. You’ve put a big beaming smile on my face downunder.

We do.

Yesterday I spoke to the team. And it looks like they are all on board. One of them is even so excited she’s off to start organising things: even though we haven’t figured out exactly what we are organising. But its a start.

And today is just a little bit different. There isn’t anything that Omg or any of the other Trump proponents can say that will rile me up. We’ve taken over his thread and there isn’t a damn thing he can do about it. This is how we beat them. By doing good.

Whatever you have to tell yourself to make yourself feel better! Denial is a serious condition.

You’re the expert.

Here’s a tweetstorm that is very relevant to the “We need to listen to the Trump voters”/“No we don’t” back and forth: https://twitter.com/zatapatique/status/797212204055592960

Problem is, by voting for someone who is openly racist and sexist, they only confirmed the very thing they were trying to dispell to the people who were calling them that.

They could have dispelled it by openly and proudly saying “I can’t vote for Donald Trump because he is a racist and sexist.” But they didn’t. They chose the route that only makes them look worse.

I can have some sympathy for the “We’ve been left behind and we’re suffering. Let’s do the unthinkable and elect the horrible guy–maybe he can fix it” idea. I have no sympathy for people who vote Trump because the liberals hurt their widdle feewings.

And it is not easy at all to lose my sympathy. I’ve repeatedly said it costs so little to give. But, for now at least, I can’t even give that for these people.

He will need a lot of distance. He may be asked about it, he should disavow them.

But this is the guy who re-tweeted some of their noise, so who knows. Plus his campaign guy is CEO of Breitbart (Bannon), an “alt right” guy.

Kind of like when “certain guys” liked to call us traitors and librul commies and told us to get the fuck out of “their” country for not swearing allegiance to W? Or not supporting the party that gave us two wars (one for nonexistent weapons) and a recession and a few banking scandals?

Boo hoo.

After all the talk about registering Muslims and putting them in a database,
and raping murdering Mexicans coming to kill us and take our jobs,
and refugees coming to bomb us,
and talk of mass deportation of possibly millions of people,
and the final advert about the sinister shadowy money cartel (the Jews of course)
etc etc etc

I know exactly what the “issues” were.

And they disgusted me.
