There’s something fundamental about this election that some of the Trump-supporting jackasses don’t get, so I’ll do my best to put it in terms they might understand, by quoting the only remaining Republican comic:
Trump’s not just wrong, he’s wrong outside of normal parameters.
If Romney had won, if McCain had won, our country would have been significantly shittier–but shittier within normal parameters.
Trump? I haven’t be so uneasy about the state of the globe since 9/11. I suspect my concern there was overblown, lacking context; this time, I have had months to understand the context.
Look, I know you’re a troll, but as should have been obvious, I’m not in the U.S., so trying that Obamacare shit won’t work. Luckily, I’m in a country that at least values the principle of universal healthcare.
Think about the 45% tariff on Chinese goods and go from there if you want to talk about being “economically illiterate”.
Oh, Obama sucks, and you can certainly criticize Trump. I, however, wasn’t all “Obama is Satan and is gonna bring in the apocalypse!”. But hey, what do I know?

There’s a rule against wishing harm on other posters, which can get a little squishy when you’re wishing harm against a group that may or may not be reading the thread. However, given that the OP of the thread is a Trump supporter, I’m going to have to ask you to dial it back on the “dead Trump voter” imagery.

Actually, ‘‘all the liberals’’ here didn’t gloat with the other wins, some of us reached out to our conservative friends to hear their concerns, and your insistence on painting all of us with a broad brush makes you look like a serious fucking asshole. I’ve really never heard you say anything that indicated any degree of respect or empathy for anyone on this board, and I can’t fathom why you think anyone gives a shit what your rude ass has to say about anything. Take some fucking class lessons from the other conservatives here - Bricker’s a great example.
I admit, I was an asshole in 2012 - because I had every reason to be. I was so disgusted with the way the republicans treated the nation’s first black president and I got sick of reading people post their conspiracy theories and their thinly-veiled shots at his ethnicity. So yeah I admit I was a douchebag on election night 2012. I would have been less so this time around because I was so ready for this election to be over. And in that sense, I am relieved. The anticipation is finished. We know the result. You guys won. Hope you’re happy knowing that the least qualified person in history represents your party. FWIW, I will support Trump to the extent I possibly can. I suspect that won’t last long but I will give it the college try.
Bricker gets all kind of flack, and has been for as long as I’ve been here, what are you talking about? Anyway, the victor go the spoils. I don’t have to be gracious-- especially not after 2012. We won. We’ve got Congress, the Presidency and hopefully 2 or more SCOTUS picks.
I’m posing as a republican this week to get elected.
I sense we’ll be back to “The Dixie Chicks suck because they said a bad thing about our president” real frickin’ soon. All the smack talk about Obama will be swept under the rug of course.
