I finally got an interview!

And it’s with the company I was aiming for!

I’ve been looking for lab-related work for quite a while now (I’m a medical technologist-in-training with a BSc in physiology) but I’ve had a hard time getting in the door anywhere.

Dozens of “we want someone with more experience”, “graduate students only” , and “oh, you’re not certified yet?” responses had me very close to giving up my search until I graduated.

Then today the call came. From the one company, out of all the ones I applied to, that I most want to work for. The company does clinical trials on new drugs, with human volunteers, and I would be giving the volunteers instructions, recording their comments, running blood samples to the lab, and things like that. It’s not a lab job yet but it’s not far off. I’ll be able to reach it from there with a little effort! The woman who called said she’s impressed with my qualifications and she wants me to come in for an interview on Thursday! What to say? How to prepare? What to wear?

I am bubbling over with enthusiasm for this job! I’ve been smiling all day!

Dopers, wish me luck! I want my foot in that door!

Good luck!

More good luck, here’s hoping everything goes well!
