Honestly it’s super sad that anyone is willing to consider that asshole their “friend”. I can only judge him based on his behavior here, but based on that, he deserves to be alone and unloved.
I didn’t post here when Obama was in office. But if I did, I would have defended Obama. I liked Obama. I also liked both Bush’s. And Clinton.

So I bet, if you concentrate really hard, you can imagine that those who do compare Trump to Hitler might be engaged in a similar rhetorical device. So if we can be reasonably expected to overlook you attributing the, “…every single bad…”, statement to us, you can certainly manage to be a big enough person to forgive those of us who exaggerate Trump’s Fascistic talents.

There are other posters with open conservative viewpoints who don’t have 22 page Pit threads about them. That alone suggests this thread isn’t just because of a simple political disagreement.
It’s a common argument from the trollier conservatives on this board: “You’re only picking on us because we don’t agree with you politically, not because we’re a bunch of disingenuous assholes!”. It’s a neat (and disingenuous) way to handwave away any responsibility for one’s own posts and, as noted above, also ignores the fact that there exist conservative posters who aren’t disingenuous assholes and thus don’t receive the same reaction from other board members.
Along the same lines: “This board engages in groupthink! I know, because everyone keeps calling me disingenuous asshole!”. Because a boardwide conspiracy is apparently more plausible than the possibility that “everyone” is simply pointing out an obvious truth.
I think Sam Stone and puddleglum, for example, are really incredibly wrong quite often, but I don’t think they’re dishonest or trolls. They present their arguments honestly from their own beliefs and understandings, with no interest in riling up or pissing off those they disagree with.

Alright, so there are often accusations on the internet of people being shills. Someone says “roundup probably isn’t as unhealthy as some of the pesticides it replaced” and you get accused of being in the pockets of Monsanto. If you debunk alt meds, you’re a big pharma shill. Etc. There’s probably about 10,000x more accusations of shilling than actual shilling, if it exists at all.
Although we do know that state actors do have people go online and shill, troll, and otherwise sow discord as a modern age cyber/psyops warfare against rival countries.
I don’t have any reason to believe HurricaneDitka is a shill, and that’s kind of sad, actually. He works so very hard for evil and he’s doing it all on his own free time. He’s not even selling out - he’s being evil and dishonest and acting in bad faith and serving the interests of the Republican party (and by extension usually the Russians) just to rile the libs. He doesn’t get anything out of it. He’s a vile piece of shit trying to sow discord and damage his own country for the fun of it. What a world.
The thing is - if he was a paid shill by the Republican party or the Russian government, would any of his behavior be any different? How would you be able to tell?

Trump will be impeached because the democrats investigated him. So both sides are the same, and if you don’t think so, obviously you’re just too partisan to see the truth! Doesn’t matter if Trump commits a hundred crimes worse than anything Clinton did, or the Republicans were running sham investigations for years desperate to find anything, and the Democrats are actually under-investigating and under-reacting to Trump’s multitude of crimes. Both sides are exactly the same. Obama wore a tan suit, Trump can nuke Canada - each side doesn’t like the other’s politicians and therefore everyone is exactly equal.

The thing is - there’s value in representing contrary viewpoints on this board. It’s good that it’s not a complete echo chamber. But if people aren’t acting in good faith, it’s a waste of time, it’s just trolling. That’s something I can’t accept or forgive.
