I found a kitten!

I love cats! Always happy to hear when one finds a home. Once I get moved I may get another.

“Awww… I thought I was the new kitty…!

They clipped her ear at the rescue place to show she was “fixed” if she ever got away.

“I like string & hiding & pouncing on my owner & chewing his toes at 3AM!”

Lily she is very pretty…!

So cute! I guess you were meant to have a cat, one way or another.
I know you mentioned last time that you don’t have a lot of money for a cat, so perhaps you could ask the mods if they mind if you were to post a paypal account to help with the vet bills and such?

You were a goner the instant you saw the kitty’s face. Accept your fate; you never had a chance.
It’s a shame Markie isn’t a loose skinned dog, but you can still try to train (okay, I know trying to train a kitten is a waste of time) to bed down on Markie’s shoulders.

SQUEEEE!!

God, she is beautiful!

FWIW torties are my least-favorite kitteh color and even I think that’s one cute kitten!

Also, my beloved Nikki was found in a similar fashion: rainy cold weather, super-interested dog, orphaned kitten hiding in the underbrush, “what else could I do?” etc. Started out small enough to fit in the palm of my stumpy little hand and now she steals my chair if I so much as go pee.

Great story, and such a cute kitty (and loving doggy daddy). She looks like a long-haired tortie - very nice and fuzzy.

I have some bad news, though - torties are very much the princesses in the house. Bossy and demanding (and affectionate and following you around the house…)

OMG… she’s cuter than my Widget!!

:::faints from cuteness overload:::

that’s very kind of you to suggest - and although its true that one of the reasons that I gave up Banshee to my daughter was because my income is really too limited to take on new pets…well, so far Echo has only cost me the $40 for her initial exam/worming, plus food and litter, both of which I already had…so I think I’m okay so far! fingers crossed that she has no health issues in the near future!

thanks for your kind thoughts and generous nature!

…and that differs from other cats…how?

Echo is still young enough that you can look around for low cost spaying options. Sometimes you have to have paperwork mailed to you that you can fill out and mail back, its best to get it done well before she goes into heat and you now longer have time to deal with it or the mind left to concentrate because of the constant yowling.

Don’t be nervous about low cost spay neuter clinics. They know what they are doing, its all they do and they are very good at it. I’ve run hundreds of cats and kittens through them and only rarely have I had a problem.

I looked at the pics again, and yep, she’s just as cute as I remembered.

Yeah, true enough. Think maxed-out princess?

For anyone who is still interested…
.
Echo was spayed this week at the local low cost spay/neuter clinic. She is about five months old now. She came through her surgery with flying colors and is doing great! My daughter was of the opinion that Banshee (who has become somewhat evil tempered as she has matured…) needed a companion, so Echo has gone to live with Banshee. They are getting along great! It seems strange to me that Banshee, who was an orphan and never had any contact with other cats, seems to thrive so much when she has another young cat to play with. They are both doing great together! I wish I had some pics of them together, but my daughter has not been quick enough to catch any endearing shots of them…

In the meantime…did I post this previous pic of Echo at the top of my screen door? Bad kitty!

and for those who don’t remember Banshee, a little reminder pic…

Adorable. So glad the kitties are doing well.

Sounds like everyone wins. I like that kind of kitty story!
