…I chucked a 6-32 tap into a hand drill and tapped a hole better than I could have done with a traditional tap holder. I was impressed with how well it worked, given that my ideas don’t always work well.
So, what new ways to do things have you discovered?

Look in your rear view mirror. note where your vision ends. Set your driver’s mirror to pick up where the other mirror leaves off.
Now when you drive and want to know what’s behind/beside you, check the rearview mirror first, THEN the driver’s side mirror. You’ll have an almost uninterrupted view of the side of your car.
If someone overtakes you, you can see them leave the rearview mirror and immediately enter the side view mirror…when it leaves that mirror, it’ll enter almost immediately enter your pheripheral vision.
Wah Lah - no blind spot!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who knows this.
When I try to describe this to others, I get the “deer in the headlights” look.
I ask them, “Why do you want to see what the side of your car is doing?”
I do that too, believe it or not. Kiminy doen’t get it/like it, and she readjusts my mirrors whenever she drives my car. Having my mirrors set that way has saved me more than once.

The handles on my kitchen cabinets are somehow perfect at opening beer bottles. I’m not even sure where my actual bottle opener is any more.
Impresses the chicks, too.
