The whole point of the thread is that many people & organizations are not making that distinction. In those misguided folks’ minds, “in the files” is exactly equivalent to “confirmed pedophile monster”. There is very much a “shoot first, ask questions later” mindset out there. Not even a “guilty until proven innocent” mindset.
Good point- I have seen FB posts along the line of “Gather them all up and hang/shoot them.”
