Yeah!
A month after finishing my classwork for graduate school, I’ve accepted a job at a plastics testing company. Considering how shitty the job market around here (Michigan) is, I’m counting myself lucky. And it even sounds like work I might enjoy!
I don’t have my Master’s in Engineering yet, but I’ll turn in my paper soon, and with a little more luck they’ll even accept it
You go, Diceman! Conga-rats and huzz-rahs!
Plastics testing? Looks like plastic, smells like plastic, tastes like plastic. Yup, it’s plastic. Next sample!
Hey, congrats! And here I kept seeing you as this humble (or not-so-humble!
) college student! Which company? Where at? Details, man, we need details!!
The company is Ghesquire Plastics Testing. (‘Ghesquire’ is the name of the guy who owns it, BTW) It’s in Harper Woods. It does both mechanical testing (tensile stress, abrasion, etc) and climatic stuff, like UV exposure and freeze/thaw cycles. They’re pretty small, but they do alot of testing for alot of different companies. Maybe I’ll find out how they make the Dodge Neon disintegrate after 10,000 miles
