I got a puppy

Ok, so I don’t own the dog, my friend does. But I was there! And I financed her! So it’s like I co-own the little pup. So, yeah.

But anyway!! She is the Perfect Puppy™! A Peke-a-poo, tiny, black, curly fur with little frosted toes. When she runs she hops like a bunny, and an hour after se had bought her she was following us on a leash. She is two months and a day old and when she barks she sounds like a squeek toy. She has no fear and is soooo sure that everyone, people, dogs, walls, are her best friends! Her name is Midge and sooner or later I’m going to move closer to my friend who is her new mom and then it will be like she is my puppy too! Yay!!!

Ok, upon review of the above post, I sound like a 12 year-old. But I care not! I am too excited!

I wish my apartment would let me have pets. :frowning:

Ooooooh! Goodness! What a fine-sounding puppy! (But is there any other kind?)

Give the Perfect Puppy a belly rub for me.

Hey! I just helped my friend pick out and bring home a puppy too! He is an 8 month old Pitbull Terrier named Dex. Whenever my friend goes to work or wherever for more than a few hours, he brings the dog over here, and I take it for a big long walk. Even though Pits have a reputation for being violent, Dex is cuddly and lovable. He loves to snuggle on the couch and be picked up (even though he weighs 45 pounds) and have his belly rubbed. When he’s having a happy dream he makes little grunting noises like a piglet.

His only down side is that when he was a pup (8 or 9 weeks), his former owners tied a brick around his neck in hopes of building up his muscle strenth for attack duty :(. Needless to say, he was removed from that house months ago. Anyways, because of that he pulls a lot on the leash, but we are working on it.

Horray for puppies!

Little Bird, do you mean she’s a Pekingese puppy? I’ve never seen one of those.

meyer, yes, pits can be wonderful, loving, happy, friendly dogs. They can be trained to be as vicious as their reputation, but give them some love and they’ll be near-perfect.

I say NEAR-perfect because my dog is perfect. She’s an eight-year-old Carolina dog, a breed seemingly no one has heard of, but trust me, she is perfect. Right now she is sleeping on the floor about three feet from me; far enough that she doesn’t bother me, and I can reach over and pet her if I want (which I often do), but close enough that if anything threatens me she can jump in and save me.

No, she’s a mutt. A peke-a-poo is part pekingese and part poodle. She’s from a local litter that the pet store was selling. I gotsta call and see how she is doing!
