“Determined need” is different than actual need, of course; they assume that you’ll be putting up a sizeable percentage of your income (possibly more than you can afford) to pay. But I’m pretty blessed, as far as that sort of thing goes, and my parents can pay for the tuition. We don’t qualify for financial aid.
I’m definitely planning to dorm on campus. The dorm thing really seems like such a large part of college to me that I wouldn’t want to miss it anyway.

At least when I was there, it was required that you live on campus for the first two years of undergrad.
weep…Palmer was where my ass got kicked by Physics and math classes and where I panicked my way through exams…I still think about that one lecture hall upstairs that had the great old traditional feel with all-wood stationary chairs…
