I got into Stuyvesant! (No, my daughter did!)

Congrats! It seems like only yesterday you were reading her stories at bedtime. Now she can come home and tell you stories at night.

Brava!

I know you’re one proud dad, Ike.

How completely exciting, Ike. Will she be showing up in a corduroy jacket with leather patches on the elbow so they know she’s your kid??

When my neice got into Bronx Science, I thought the world as we knew it would be torn asunder, the celebration was so big. It IS a big deal. The NYC Public Schools have been held up to redicule for so long, that very few people outside of the greater NYC area realize that there are precious schools there to be gotten into. Amazing wonderful good solid schools, with teachers who care and are properly funded. Unlike 85% of the rest of the NYC Public Schools, which are filled with teachers who care and are so atrociously funded that they buy their own markers.

She should be proud, you are clearly proud. Now we Dopers get to be proud. So, when are you throwing a party for the NYC Dopers to all get together and celebrate your kids’ good fortune?

Cartooniverse, who stubbornly insists that it’s spelled seeze.
