I got my first tattoo today!!!

Very nice work! Makes you want to preen, doesn’t it? Considering I’m at work, I’m not in a position to post pics of mine atm, but if I remember when I get home, I’ll find a spot to put 'em.

Coooooooooooooooooooool.

LVgeogeek, am I correct in thinking that your design was inspired by Choo-Choo Bear the cat from Something Positive?

I’ve had problems with clothing dyes but never had an issue with tattoo ink. If you find a design you like, talk to an artist about it, and express your concerns. They know a ton about their inks and reactions to them.

Very clever, tattoo pictures and kitty pictures all in one!

Way cool, thumbs up all around.

No, Never heard of it. Maybe I should look it up to see what you are referring to

It was a custom design by the artist based on conceptual sketches I had made and verbal descriptions.

Geminis are the coolest people I know. May 28th here.

My tattoo is circa 1981, by way of Big Red in Roseville, California. I brought in my favorite (and dare I say lucky?) charm and he did a fine job recreating the image in simple black ink on the inside of my right ankle. Little did I know that a crescent moon and star were on the flags of many countries, some of which are not that friendly with us anymore. I’ll probably be wearing socks all the time if I ever go to the Middle East. But I love my tattoo, and after I got mine I went with my friend to get her’s done - it was that Grateful Dead skull thing with lightning bolts, on her back. Very cool and , at the time, very daring.

I love your design, especially the shading and awesome color. Congrats!

OK, so that last post was five days ago. That doesn’t make this a zombie thread, does it?

I just had to pop in to show my new tattoo. It’s on the inside of my left forearm and is all of eight hours old right now.

In a month or so I’ll go back to add color and shading to make it appear more three dimensional.

And as others have said, I’m thinking this won’t be my last one!
