You may remember that I went through a crazy time with the contractor I work for. They cut my pay 25%.
I just now got back from the interview with the King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals and I got the job. I start with the new term on 1 September. I will now get back to Jeddah, pack up stuff and fly out in a week or two. Then down to Mexico for a month, some time in the US and back here as the summer cools a bit.

An embarrassment of riches! I have two offers.
The university. About 3,500 a month with four months of paid vacation. The program-of-instruction is messed up, but I can help rewrite it. Housing provided.
Air Traffic Control School. About 4,000 a month, but no housing. No word on vacation either. Nice folks and nice POI.
I think the university is the lucky winner.
