I got to correct the Associated Press!

I feel pretty snazzy. The Associated Press moved a photo of a play at second base during the Stanford-Tulane game at the College World Series. A Tulane player is sliding as a Stanford player awaits the throw. The caption identifies the Stanford player as Rik Currier. In reality, Rik Currier is a pitcher for the University of Southern California.

I’d kind of like to use the photo, and I’m almost positive I know who the Stanford guy is, but I hate to guess.

Yay me!

What, you want a frikin’ cookie or something, dude?

I once got to point out multiple errors in one of those O’Reilley books (they do those books on Word Annoyances, Windows Annoyances, the ones with the animals on the cover…) to one of their editors when he called for technical support and was a total flaming rude ass…

Well, OK, fair enough, Rasa. Maybe my great joy comes from the fact that I beat everyone else to it. You know, kind of like how cool it is to be the first one into the jar of peanut butter.
