Apparently there’s something missing from my diet. I get home, and consume a bunch of this “california blend” of vegetables that my mom’s prepared as a side dish. I then go back and get seconds. For dessert, I had a nectarine, and thought about having a plum too. Now I’m eating some strawberry pie. All of this has been with a tall glass of peach Crystal Light.
I’m so confused, but I guess that my body wants what it wants.
I love nectarines. If one asked me to, I would marry it. Then I would be jailed for eating my husband, or maybe institutionalised, because I thought nectarines talked to me and asked me to marry them.
Once when I was working at Dairy Queen, I literally did not have any time to have dinner because I got off school at 3:30, I had to make it across downtown for 4 PM, and I worked until 11. It got to the point where on my (pathetic) break, I was actually convincing myself, “Well, how about a frozen yogurt with raspberries on it? That’s fruit and yogurt! It’s healthy!”
Anyway, during this time on a day off I was walking down the street when my body suddenly went, VEGETABLES. NOW. So I immediately dropped everything, got on the metro, bought a big bag of salad at the supermarket near my house, took it home, and ate the whole thing with some oil and vinegar.
