I guess that Money really is the Root of all Evil

A friend of mines was telling me that when the World Trade Center was bombed back in 2001, there were Oklahoma City Bombing victims that filed lawsuits against the Government stating that the 9/11 victims got more money from the Gov’t than they did and that they wanted the same amount… The 9/11 victims and the Oklahoma City Bombing victims were actually bickering with each other over who was entitled the most money :frowning:

I have been frantically searching for any cite that confirms this and so far have come up empty. If ANYONE out there can cite this as being correct, please post it here for all of us to see.

Actually in the quote it is “the love of money” not the money itself but that can be discussed another day.

Hey! That’s my nitpick! I always nitpick that nitpick! Whenever anyone produces that nit, I pick it! It’s my official family heirloom nitpick! My grandfather used that nitpick in Weimar Germany!

Not only that, I don’t think the quote makes any sense in this context. :stuck_out_tongue: If anything, I woulud think the evil is the attacks on these two buildings, not the families of the victims seeking compensation.

If love of money is in fact the root of all evil, what is the square root of all evil then?

I thought a ruling was made they could not sue the Feds nor the airlines, etc. Maybe someone has more info to share along these lines.

FYI: Did you hear how the insurance company has decided the attacks on the WTC were one event total - as opposed to the two individual submitted claims - one per building? I wonder if that was disclosed in the fine print of the policy!

No, you see money grew more and more evil until it was discovered: Hey, you don’t need “love” at all! Money can buy anything!

Credit card debt, evil in its purest form next to Lion’s Management.
