Three years ago today, I got the terrible news, but I’m still doing fine.
And that’s the best news of all. Congratulations!
This thread has been educational for me. Thanks for reviving it.
I’m glad things are going well!
I had my annual mammogram (now screening, not diagnostic) on Friday, and today I met with the nurse practitioner at the oncologist’s office. She said the report was normal (I figured it probably was or they would have informed me) and said my hormone levels were fine too, so I’ll just keep taking my oral hormone blocker every day, and get a DEXA scan for osteoporosis before my next checkup in 6 months.
Thanks for sharing such good news.
I’m loving the good news. Thank you.
Today, I saw the radiation oncologist for my 3-year checkup, and she said everything looks great and she does not have to see me again.
We elbow-bumped on the way out.
Woohoo!
A good old football end zone chest bump would have been understandable.
[I’ll show myself out…]
Yay!
Maybe it’s actually 2021 after all.
Good news!
A bit apprehensive when I see this thread pop up.
So glad it’s bumped for good news!
3 1/2 years out: Another clean bill of health! The NP did say that my DEXA scan indicated that I am on the cusp of osteopenia, which is not unexpected considering my age and the hormone blocker that I may well take for the rest of my life, and told me to keep on doing what I’m doing, and come back in 6 months.
Congrats! I have my 6 year annual this week.
Hope the news is good too!
Thanks! I expect it will be “unremarkable.”
Such beautiful news !!!
Four years, and so far, all is well.
Mazel tov!
I’m now past 6 years on Tamoxifen, hooray.
