I took the plunge and tried breeding Nakota again. Odin is the stud, a local Dutch warmblood stallion. He’s got a wonderful dispoisition, and throws beautiful babies that are talented in both dressage and jumping.
Wish me luck!

Besties for a handsome little devil this time next year. I can’t remember, is Nakota chestnut too?
Hello Again - Nakota’s grey. She’s not as downhill as she looks in the pic, I’m just a lousy photographer.

Ooh, I saw a video of a very handsome greyish roan by Odin on the Chronicle Forums, when I searched his name. You could get a looker! crosses fingers
Hello Again - Can you post a link, or PM it to me on the Forums?

Post 11 has the videos, and the last post in the thread reveals the sire.
Nice gait. Made me want to have a working session …
Ooooh… congrats and the best of luck to you & Nokota! Fingers & toes crossed!
And that grey mare is lovely! Really nice way of moving, very quiet and precise. I like her lots!
You are going to give us baby pics next year, right?
Ooo Odin’s gorgeous! Sending sticky thoughts to Nakota!
How are Peanut and Daisy doing? They’re my favorite Doper love story.
Merneith - LOL! They’re doing fine, although the bloom is a little off the rose - Peanut tried to steal some of Daisy’s grain!
Daisy is building back muscle in her hindquarters. She had been so emaciated that her body had basically broken all the muscle down. Now she’s getting spunky enough to put her head down and chase dogs who are getting too close, or throw a kick at them. She’s still happiest when she’s with Peanut, although when I brought the big horses up when the vet came, she slipped out into the big pasture, and explored the wide world outside the paddock and yard. She was ready to come in at dinnertime, though.

Congratulations!!
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Congratulations “grandma”!
Anyone up for a foaling shower in the spring??
Yay! Here’s to a healthy mama and baby!
I’d like to get my mayor inseminated, but Rahm runs too fast.
Was it good for her? :p:D
Congratulations on the new foal!
The turkey baster sent her flowers afterward.

Yayyy! Baby pictures when the little one arrives are mandatory, you know!
Why this time of the year? A mid-September foal? Will be legally a yearling at less than 100 days old. Or doesn’t that matter for WB’s?
