I had to spend my birthday in the hospital and now I'm doped up on Vicodin

Well I just had kidney surgery. I actually had the surgery on the 8th, but my birthday was on the 9th, so I was still in the hospital. The reason I had the surgery then and didn’t plan it for a another day was becuase this was the earliest they could do it and I go back to school on the 20th. I still have a tube coming out of my back, If it doesn’t come out before school starts, that is really going to suck. But my nurse was really nice an she got me a cake. I only had one bite of it becuase I couldn’t really keep anything down, but that was still really nice of her. Anyway, the best part is that the surgeons couldn’t do eveything they wanted to do in this round of surgery so I get to go in again! Color me excited (that’s sarcasm by the way). I am now in vicodin and my head is bobbin’ around like a helium ballon on a string. I apologize for any missed typos. I did preview this but I’m feeling sorta loopy so I probably missed lots of stuff. Well thanks for listening

Mmmm… Vicodin.

I’ve never had to have surgery. I imagine it’s really scary, but I’d probably be excited by it. I’m really strange that way.

I’ve also never been in the hospital on my birthday (as far as I know… well, besides my actual birth day). I spent my sister’s last birthday in a 3 day Demerol-induced coma though. I wasn’t complaining though.

Good luck with your next procedure.

hi **Shera!

Happy Birthday!**

Although we don’t know each other, I just thought you should get at least one good wish on your birthday. And I felt bad that the [sub]show us your tits (or was it zits)[/sub] thread next to yours had 37 replies already.

Anyway, I am sure that it sucks being in the hospital on your birthday, and hope that whatever ailments you were experiencing are over soon and you can get out and celebrate with your friends.

take care!

I’m sorry you had to spend your bday hospitalized and I’m glad you have Vicodin and I’m sorry you have to go back to school so soon but I’m glad you don’t have to start on the 15th like me and I’m glad your nurses are cool.

Wow, that sucks. I hope everything is okay with you. I’m glad you had a cool nurse. And at least you have vicodin. I had that when I had my wisdom teeth out. I liked vicodin very much. Vicodin is so soothing. Vicodin makes the pain go away. Vicodin is my friend. Vicodin…sorry, got off on a tangent there…

Anyway, I hope you had a happy birthday. Did your family and/or friends do something special later?

Again, happy birthday, and I hope you feel better soon.

We celebated my birthday on the sixth, which was the last day I was aloud to eat or drink anything before the surgery. My sisters and I went to a truly awesome water park in Roseville, CA. It has waterslides that actually made me fear for my life. Then we had cake and presents. Anyway, I am qite a bit of pain right now, I think I will take some more Vicodin. I don’t have any plans for the next few hours. I think I’ll go stare at the fish tank. It’s really cool under the influence of Vicodin.

I will note that we did come to the hospital to visit you, dear. Love ya! I mean what a way to spend our b-day…sigh. I mean, you weren’t exactly in the best mood ;), understandably of course.
