But instead he was cast on the horrible Cosby Clone “Charlie & Co. (1985)”. :dubious:
When the Simpsons moved to Thursdays, Dr. Hibbert was introduced as a parody of Dr. Huxtable, complete with crazy colorful sweaters. Thus concludes today’s Simpsons Fun Fact.
Did he do that?
There was also a scene in one ep where Bart asked Homer why** The Cosby Show** was going off the air. After Homer’s reading of the studio line, Bart says if he had a show he’d ride that sucker into the ground until they pulled it off the air. In 1993, it was funny; in 2014, you realize the joke’s on you.
iswydt…
Yes, that’s why I called her that.
Sorry, I somehow misread that as adding her instead of a cousin Oliver-ia.
I figured something like that must’ve happened
Wait, Cousin Oliver was real? I thought he was a made up joke for those Nick at Nite/TV Land commercials. They had him showing up in episodes where he clearly didn’t, and I never realized there were episodes where he really did.
There was also really a 2nd Darren on Bewitched and substitute Duke boys (though playing new characters) for a while on the Dukes of Hazzard, in case you weren’t aware.
