Just moved out of horrid, horrid Raleigh, North Carolina. You wanna talk white bread? Strip malls, SUVs, and subdivisions as far as the eye can see. Now I’m back in the mountains where I belong.
I live in Southern California’s beautiful San Fernando Valley. Soon to become it’s own city when we break apart from LA this year!!!
Oh yeah, tha’d be great, except for the fact that I cannot drive. No car, no license, no money for gas, no money for insurance, and a bad knee. So back off with the “I have it worse” contest, please.
My wife and I are leaving Cary, North Carolina in a few weeks to live in Los Angeles and I agree with you. We’ve hated living here for years – bland subdivisions, lousy restaurants, inadequate bookstores … . We both only came to this wasteland for graduate school and we wound up stuck here for longer than we intended. We don’t close on our house until the end of June but we’re trying to get packed up and get on the road as fast as we can.
