I would invest half of it in low risk mutual funds and then take the other half over to my friend Asadulah who works in securities
I’d get me an NFL Toaster then go out to dinner with the rest.
You got *that *much money for Christmas? Wow.
Did you get a calendar? It’s a bare bones necessity for every new year, to mark your appointments and vacation dates, etc. Maybe one with island pictures.

I recommend the Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer. Worth every penny, and you’ll still have $197 left over.
If you’re not convinced of its utility, then you really, really should read some of the reviews.
…
OK, more seriously:
It’s one thing to come into some money and finally be able to buy something you’ve wanted for a while, but I don’t understand the concept of having money and then looking around for something that you can buy with it.
If there’s nothing you want right now, then stash the money and wait until a real need/want arises.
That’s about what I get for Christmas from older relatives every year. Is that a lot?
I got a membership to Costco. I’ve always wanted one. Then I bought 500 sandwich baggies. Oh, the bliss.

I have ~$200. What should I buy?

Tennessee Avenue, New York Avenue, or any of the railroads.
Post #29 and no one has suggested hookers and blow? Slipping, people.
For $200? You might get a scrum half and a gentle puff.
(But see post #19)

I think I’ve made that joke one too many times already.
When the wife and I get our taxes I usually use a good portion (about 75%) to save and the other 25% gets split evenly between us to “waste.”
With some of my money I got a really nice pillow. I’ve always wanted one. It’s still my favorite pillow.
It would be so cool if they actually used exponential notation on the currency.

Since you’re asking, I need a new pair of shoes

A savings account. You can always use a saving account.
And yes, $200 from relatives is alot.
I bought a new outlet for a wall for about $17 from Lowe’s. I’m sure it’s available on Amazon.
Instead of two normal outlets, it is now one outlet and 2 fast charge USB ports to charge my phone and Kindle.
Damn you double posts.
