I have a cabin in the woods . . . (an actually serious thread)

Hoo-kay. Where to start.

The short version: my family owns a cabin in the woods somewhat near here. We’re going there in case . . . uh . . . worse stuff happens than has already happened. There is no phone line there, but we do have plenty of TV (except the basic things like FOX and CBS).

So my post count, for the first time since last August, is going to be stagnant for at least a few days . . . there goes catching up to handy:frowning:

Anyway, I’ll try to update y’all if possible, and anyone near the West Virginia border is welcome to drop by and say hello. Jonathan Chance, we may well be driving past your place. I’ll holler if I see you:)

Dunno how long I’ll be gone. I’m expecting to be absent for at least tomorrow, and beyond that I have as much of a clue as you all do.

Here’s to no nuclear holocaust. And fighting ignorance one day at a time.

[sub]Since 1973. It’s taking longer than we thought.[/sub]

I’ll miss you, punha. 'Fraid I’m no where near your cabin in the woods or I would come by. Keep in touch,

Hope to see you soon, mm’kay?

::MsRobyn goes to work making treats to last the time spent in the woods::

Robin

well dude, take car of yourself-- keep yourself occupied (keep cabin fever at bay for a few days, y’hear?) and out of trouble…

seey ou in a few days…

::raises his beer glass to Punny’s:: here’s to no nuclear holocost

Hmm. Evidently this is not the drama I was expecting.

We’ll be there a day. PD isn’t expecting to be there any longer.

I had packed for . . . well, I took everything but my bedding and computer and coat. It’s almost amusing, when you think about it . . . me on my bike with my suitcase on the right handlebar and my backpack sagging with every book I might need. Reminded me of “Deep Impact.”

So I’ll be here tonight, and I should really get some sleep because I get to make the drive with my father to our cabin.

Yeah. Sleep. Right. Sure. I’ll get right on it. Right after I know for sure that nothing else is going to happen within 30 miles of where I live . . . like, oh, I don’t know, a plane crashing into a big-ass building and exploding.

[sub]Cabin fever will be no problem . . . my roommate won’t be there:D[/sub]

Have fun there. <yeah, right!> Well, do what you can, anyway. Take care, and we’ll see you when you get back. Love you, Patrick. Be well, and give your mom a hug for me, please. Ask her to give you one back, from me.
