2 days ago I had a dream that I was a part of an elite crime fighting unit made up of a wide range of genders and ages, from adults in their 50’s to children as young as 4. We were at a mall for some reason, though I don’t remember what crime was taking place there except that it had something to do with the automatic doors. The strangest part of the whole dream though was that everyone in my crime fighting group, including myself, was African-American. This wouldn’t have been abnormal except that I am so white I am almost translucent.
Dreaming about myself as being a different race was really fascinating! Generally when I dream about myself I have a pretty accurate physical image-well, I am usually thinner than in real life, but that is the only difference-but this is the first time I have ever dreamed of myself as a different race. When I dream about myself I am always me, never a different race or gender, never a butterfly or an inanimate object, just me, so it was interesting to dream about myself in such a different way.
Has anyone else ever dreamed about themselves as being significantly different than they normally are?

Given that I pretty much have only ever been able to remember maybe a dozen dreams in my entire life, I’m giving good odds that I’m quite often not myself in my dreams.
It was really interesting. There was a sniper and he was pissed off at the automatic doors for some reason so my elite crime fighting squadron was called in to capture the guy. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I have been watching the show Numb3rs on DVD for the past couple of days.
Last night I dreamed I slept with Jeremy Clarkson. Out of the three Top Gear presenters, Clarkson would be my fourth choice after the Lotus Elise chassis guy.
