I bought this on a whim on Amazon last week for about $40.
It was delivered yesterday and last night I ‘ripped’ my first songs from CDs I have at home.
Since AI came on, I didn’t try playing it until today (actually couldn’t figure it out and got pissed), but today, I’m walking to the beat.
I’ve joined the rest of the world! This thingie plays videos, the radio and some other stuff.
Looks nice. FM radio was one of the reasons I got my Sansa as opposed to an ipod.
If someone would make one with FM and AM I’d be all set (AM = listening to baseball while grocery shopping = heaven)
But that means carrying two boxes around and switching between them, which is hardly the stuff of techno-fantasies.
Oh, I so wish my Sansa got AM. Same reason.
Ha! I’m finally going to break down and buy an MP3 player because the Mini Disc player that I’ve loved all these years and I was bummed because none of them do AM radio and that’s the only band that I listen to!
Were I willing to listen to FM radio I wouldn’t need a personal music player in the first place…
Apparently, part of the reason is potential massive interference on the AM band by the electronics. Sad. My Sansa has a voice or radio recorder. I’d love to record a Yankees game, and listen to it on the way home.
