Yay! Congrats on the hair and on chemo being way behind you!
Congratulations on the end of chemo. You suit very short hair, you lucky girl.
Woohoo! Hurray for hair!
Wow-congrats! That’s awesome!
Congratulations. I have been following your progress in your posts with particular interest as my mother and my aunt both went through breast cancer about 10 years ago.
You look fabulous and full of zest and happiness.
Happy Anniversary, you look awesome!
Wow, yeah… I remember what that felt like. No one at the place I was working had any idea about the chemo (long story), and my wig was long – like bra-strap long. I show up to work, and the one nice guy I worked with did a triple-take and said, “Wow, that’s… a big change.”
The only other person who commented was someone I barely knew, but she told me she thought it looked really good on me. I think she was biased – her hair was shorter than mine. Hee.
Mine ended up much much straighter than it used to be. Still had this curl/flip thing going on when it was short, but now that it’s as long as it used to be, I have almost none of the wave I had before. My hair grew back thicker and stronger, which might have something to do with it. (I haven’t cut it since it started falling out, say 2 or 3 years now, and I still don’t have split ends.)
Congrats. It looks good on you.
Also Hurray!!!
But I suggest dyeing your hair orange and going for the Annie Lennox look.
Seriously, ivy you look great! I love your and ivylad’s smiles in the second photo. I take it the radiation therapy is going well. Or are you done with that also?
I’ll be done with radiation on Wednesday.
You look fine with the short hair. Say hey to Ivylad.
W00-Hoo!!!11111!!!
I hope you never have to see the inside of a hospital ever again!
Is it as soft as it looks? It looks so soft! Sooooo pretty!
You are more beautiful than ever!
I second all of this!
You look fantastic!!! Congratulations on being done with chemo!!
Not sure if yours started out as breast cancer or not, but mine did and I got a great t-shirt for Christmas from a friend. The front says “Yes, they’re fake” and the back says “The other two tried to kill me”. I think it’s hilarious!
All the best to you in 2009!!!
Cancer never had a chance, wasn’t even a fair fight. Probably means we’ll have to put up with you for years and years to come. Ah, well. Kinda cute, so I guess that’s OK. Besides, gives us more time to coax you from the path of political error.
I don’t know you, ivylass, but I’ve been where you are and I know how wonderful it feels to have hair. Not just on the head, either. . .
Congratulations, and I hope you never see the inside of a chemo lab or radiation treatment room again.
Live long, and prosper.
BTW, I hope you didn’t think I forgot about you. I’ll send you some pics probably this week of the chemo cap donations I’m making in your name to the center you went to as well as some of the warmer ones up to my hometown in NY to their cancer center. I collected about 30 altogether! I’ve had a wacky few months and am just now getting around to sending out things I owe out.
I’m glad you are getting hair!! Wonderful news!
Thank you, guys! I was able to keep the ladies, but I had a couple of kicky shirts too…Bald is the New Black, which Agonist sent me, and I’m Too Sexy for My Hair.
I see the surgeon for a follow up on Thursday, and I’m sure he’ll want to schedule a squishing.
Congratulations on the end of chemo, the follicle activity (you look great!), the soon-to-be-over radiation, and your anniversary!
