So I’m walking around half-blind and sound like I’m James Earl Jones.
I almost never get sick, but when I do, I guess I don’t go for half measures.
Of course it’s the week when I have two job interviews and a presentation on Wednesday…I have no idea how I’m going to deal with that.

I had the doctor tell me after blood tests I had had pink eye in the past. I was like do you think it was when I was complaining about sore red eyes a few months earlier?
I have pinkeye too. I got strep throat two weeks ago, went on antibiotics, and got mostly better. I’ve had a cold since then and on Friday it erupted into pinkeye. I went to the doctor on Friday afternoon. He told me my strep never really went away, just manifested itself in different ways. I got more antibiotics, cough suppressants, and eye drops. The eye drops are meant to be taken four times a day, one drop in each eye and I started them Friday evening. By Saturday, there was noticeable difference. Today, Sunday, even more difference. I’m still a bit red under one of my eyes (think of how your nose gets red when you have a cold, it like that, but with my eye), but it isn’t anything remarkable. Your eyes ought to be well enough by Wednesday if you get on eye drops. Good luck with the laryngitis. How long does that take to clear up when properly taken care of?

Pinkeye is very contagious. My brother had it and he kept spreading it from one eye to the other. Oddly he lived in Florida and he got rid of it by visiting me. I don’t necessarily agree with this but his doctor said the cold of our winter helped stop it.
I’ve heard similar stories about pinkeye, very annoying
Yeah, I went to urgent care on Saturday and got some antibiotics, both eyedrops and oral. The eyedrops have a helped a lot, my eyes are just red and little watery now, no gunk. Unfortunately, my laryngitis hasn’t changed at all, my voice is just as hoarse now as a day ago.
When I had pinkeye, it secreted some foul chitin that encased my eye in unholy armor. That was fun.
Is “pinkeye” the same as conjunctivitis? I’ve never heard anyone over here say they have it. Or is it an endemic US condition?
Yes, it’s the same thing as conjunctivitis.
Yeah, when I had pickeye as a kid, I woke up to find one of my eyes had sealed itself shut. It freaked me right out!
