…and my cat, Conan, has draped himself across my lap and gone to sleep. My butt is sore, both of my feet have fallen asleep, and I’m stuck sitting here crosslegged on my bed feeling very uncomfortable.
I can’t move. Conan has me pinned down with a very powerful cuteness field. He’s purring for crying out loud!

Can’t you take the kitty with you? I do that sometimes. My cats think that potty lap time is extra special.

Yeesh. It’s a cat. Don’t get me wrong, I love them. But if I want to get up, I get up. If he’s the type that doesn’t react by jumping to the floor when you move, but rather by driving his nails into your legs, you might want to pick him up and put him down. But still.
Heh. The cat I had back when I was still living with my parents (they still have it) will wake up and jump off your lap at the sound of the TV being shut off by remote control. I’m assuming there is a sound, I can’t hear it. But the cat wakes up and jumps off your lap. Pretty well trained. 
My cat moves and wakes up if I make the slightest movement.
I seem to have jumped in here kinda late. You probably went to the bathroom a long time ago.
Yes, but the question is, did she get up first? 
Well, actually, yes, I did go to the bathroom. Shortly after I posted, he woke up on his own and decided to go sit on the balcony for a while. Mom was out running errands, and he likes to go out and wait for her to come home so he can meow at her as she walks across the parking lot to the apartment building. He gets extra attention that way.
If Mom and I are both in the living room, and one of us tries to leave the room, he meows most pitifully. He loves having two humans paying attention to him at the same time. If we’re out there watching a movie, he leaps back and forth between couch and chair, trying to divide his time between us. If he could bilocate and sit on both of our laps at the same time, he’d do it.
He’s so cute.
Man I miss my cats! I have one thats the same way - you should see her at family gatherings…she gets so confused trying to figure out how to sit on 20 people’s laps all at once
