…is because the big cat (Chloe) woke me up to let me know she was thirsty and not happy with the condition of the litterbox. She has never done this before, and the box wasn’t that bad, plus she seems to be having trouble going, which isn’t unusual in a cat of her age. But she jumped on me and meowed (and she doesn’t have a pretty voice) and when I got up to go to the bathroom, she followed me in, scratched on the floor and proceeded to squat, at which I swatted her. She jumped up on the sink and meowed, so I turned the water on, then while she drank I dragged the box out and started to scoop, and she jumped in while I was scooping to try and go. I added water to the perpetual waterer, which was empty, and now I can’t get back to sleep. She, however, is sprawled across my bed, sound asleep.
Am I a well-trained human, or what?
Who else’s cat sometimes communicates so clearly that you know what to do? I mean, it was the same meow as “please scratch my ears NOW” but her timing was great (waking me up so I’d have to go, anyways)
