No really, I haven’t. And this is weird, because I used to have one a year, like clockwork.
I get allergies, from a bunch of different things. None of them are severe, but miserable. I’ve never had the flu, and like I said, four years running now no colds.
I’m not too much healthier than I used to be. So…why?
For me the key is simple - wash hands before touching food, even if it’s inconvenient.
You get germs all the time from many people. And you don’t have to shake hands.
Door knobs into stores are obvious.
The latest thing is that wand you sign with when you run your credit card through the machine. Everyone in line has held it and 10% have colds.
So you know that you are bringing germs into your house every single time you come in.
A hand washing can be a simple rinse, without soap even, can make the difference between a cold and no cold.
I haven’t had a cold since I started using a CPAP machine at night for my sleep apnea. Occcasionally I get a bit stuffy, but the CPAP unstuffs my nose in minutes. Recently I have started sleeping without the machine as my apnea seems to have diminished, but the thought of getting a cold has driven me back to it.
