I hereby coin the term XVR

Back in the eighties, some automotive journalist assigned nomenclature to a previously un-named vehicle class: Jeeps and jeep-like vehicles were now Sport-Utility Vehicles, which later became simply SUVs.

Today a new class of vehicle is growing…the Cross-Over.

Usually smaller than an SUV, it incorporates design elements of the SUV, minivan, station wagon, hatchback, and thus defied categorification.

I want to go on record and be the first to name this class of vehicle…the Cross-over…as the XVR, and every Doper who replies to this OP is my witness!

I coined a term the other day! I hope it catches on.

Trey. As in dime, dub, trey.

I believe I’ve heard ‘trey’ before, in the context ‘ace’, ‘deuce’, ‘trey’. (But wouldn’t that be ‘treyce’?)

XVR sounds like a standard for displaying 3-D interactive porn.
