I hope he doesn't tell his friends...

LunaV gets invaded by a chipmunk. twicks gets invaded by a baby ‘possum. Should I be wary of a gator in my bathtub? Critters seem to be invadin’ doper homes as of late…

Did you stop and goggle at it for a minute? I used to work as a housekeeper in a hotel, and one day as I climbed the stairs to the second floor, I looked up, and there was a chipmunk smack at the top of the stairs, looking at me. I just stopped and stared, dumbfounded, and when I finally got moving again, he(she?) ran to an open window and jumped.

Catching a chipmunk can’t be that difficult in an enclosed room. Our cats used to bring mice into the bedroom to play with, and I could generally grab the mouse by the tail and take it outside without having to resort to catching it under a bucket. I never did get bitten.

There were one or two times when I had to let the cat catch the mouse and then pick up the cat and carry the pair of them outside.

Yep. It took a minute for my brain to stop thinking it was a joke and start taking my eyes seriously. You just don’t expect to see that.

Well if you live in apartment it’s harder to say how it got in. But hell, it took me years to get Chippy the Chipmunk (no we weren’t that orginal. And I assume there were plenty of Chippy over the years, but there was always one under the house and we alway called him that. And we alway left out nuts for him) anyway, took me years to get one of the Chippys to come into the house and take a peanut out of my hand. They’re sweet little creatures. And C’mon. If some huge giant suddenly swept down on you and grabed you and threw you outdoors, wouldn’t you bite them? Cut him some slack.

But don’t get rabies.

Did he squeak out something to the effect of “You’ll never take me alive, Copper!” or just jump?
ETA: Rabies bad, doctor good.

A chipmunk watching The Good German is kind blowing my mind.

Last year we had several little lizards, a couple of months ago we had a snake, and a few weeks back we had a frog. The last two probably got into the cats’ sunroom (not as sealed as it might be) and were personally delivered to the living room.

At least we haven’t got skunks or bears inside. Yet.

They’re gophers.

Was it… THIS GUY?

(dun dun dunnn!)

I’d watch your back if I were you… I had a squirrel break into my apartment (through my window screens) a month or so back. Little bastard was eating my pizza, a full slice at a time.

Was it very difficult for him to wield the pizza cutter?
