I installed GNUPG a long while ago...

…never used it and would like to uninstall it, and start fresh with,
say, FireGPG.

I just want to get rid of GNUPG to avoid any possible conflicts
with Firegpg. I might have created keys and whatever (awhile ago),
but don’t really remember.

GNUpg doesn’t appear in Control Panel’s Add/Remove Software,
nor is there an uninstaller in All Programs.

I searched on GNUgpg and found the following folders.

GnuPG For Windows
GnuPG
gnupg.nls
gnupg

Is it safe to delete them?

I would look to see if there is an uninstaller or users manual in the GPG for Windows folder, or ask here.

Using Google, I found the uninstaller: gpg4win-uninstaller

It’s in Program Files\GNU\GNUpg and I uninstalled it.

All except GPGee.dll, that is.

Any suggestions for geting this out??

Not from me, but I’ll give ya a bump. I’m actually a Linux user but interested in crypto related things.

Looks like GPGee is just an internet explorer plugin for GPG. I would assume you could just delete it, but I wouldn’t think it would cause any problems to just leave it.

Thanks for the bump, Fubaya.

Maybe you can answer my latest question.

After Uninstalling, I downloaded gpg4win and restarted a couple of times.

Everything’s okay, except I can’t use the damn thing.

I don’t have a llnk to open the program.

It’s supposed to be in the START menu and Launch. Not there. Looked in All Programs for some icon I can copy to the DeskTop. Nope.

I don’t know what to look for In Search - C:/Program Files/GNU/GNUPG.

And there’s nothing about this in the User Manual. It starts with Downloading and installation, and then assumes you’ve opened the program.

Any suggestions?

Never mind. I found it.
