Daisy Update - The vet came out to see Daisy again, and couldn’t believe how much improved she was.In fact, when she drove up, Daisy took off cantering. She said she won’t have to do a 2nd floating of Daisy’s teeth - once she started chewing properly she was able to grind them down on her own.
Sunday I’m going to look at Odin, the Dutch Warmblood stallion I mentioned above. We’ll see if that pans out.
Actually I can tell she’s improved. If you compare the new photo to the old one with the little girl, she’s put on some weight. I’m so glad that she’s finally found a good home and has a little buddy to hang out with.
missred - No new animals for a while, I think. I’ve had about $1000 in vet bills in the last 6 weeks. Nothing major, just a lot of minor stuff. Minor stuff with 14 animals takes its toll.
PapSett - She’s moving pretty well, but I have no idea how they’d put a saddle on that hump. Unless it’s a camel saddle.
I went yesterday to meet Odin, the stud my vet is recommending I breed Nakota to. He was beautiful and calm. We were hand-grazing him, and he was nice to everyone. I also got a look at a couple of his yearlings. I really liked him.
Oooh… sounds good! Temperament/disposition is #1 priority to me… don’t care HOW pretty the horse/dog/whatever is, (and that could go for men too!) the disposition MUST be good to breed on in my books.
