I am talking about the expert mode here, okay? I have not been able to beat the big board since my dad had to redo our entire computer about 4 months ago, erasing my previous score of 163. I have been playing Minesweeper far too often since then, leading myself into a pit of endless frustration and feelings of intense worthlessness. Until today. Today I beat it! Not only did I beat it, but I beat my previous score by twelve whole seconds! I am ever so proud of myself.
Well, I’ll leave you all to laugh at my patheticness (is that a word? maybe… patheticy? pathetocity? Kidding :)).
If you tell me that your high score is 85 or something, I will probably have a nervous breakdown trying to beat that. So don’t, I beg you! But feel free to shower me with praise.
My best score on expert is 159. But since reading this thread,I have been trying and trying and …
I used to think it would be cool to get below 120, you know, under two minutes. If I ever get below 100, I’m gonna resurrect that old thread and … wonder what it would be like to take those guys to the Pit and blast 'em for destroying my life!
Don’t you guys know how to cheat? My best times are 3, 36, and 97. Not that I really did them that fast, mind you. I just like to see the looks on people’s faces when they see my times. It’s priceless.
I know the cheat(well there’s two of em. either edit the winmine.ini file in your windows dir or you can left and right click in a open square and press esc while your holding the left and right mouse buttons to stop the time) and the funny thing is aside from your beginner score of 3 I have beaten all of your scores without cheating (I know you said don’t post scores, but hell it’s the only thing I’m good at so I’ve gotta boast) don’t read any further if you don’t wanna hear my low scores
Beginner: 7
Intermediate: 31
Expert: 84
no bullshit no cheating and I can beat expert I’d say a little more than 1 of 2 times, apparently you guys either don’t pay attention or haven’t really looked. There are many ways to open squares that may not seem intuitive and when you learn to do them naturally your time will improve dramatically, hmm… maybe I’ll start a minesweeper situations thread. Like a basic one is if you have 1,2,1 lined up horizontally (or vertically) the bombs are in front of the ones, there are LOTS of these patterns.
